Hello dear friends! 

On September 8, the big day finally arrived: We held the groundbreaking ceremony for our kitchen building and dining hall. The lovely ceremony included a brief message from the pastor of our Kenyan congregation and various welcoming remarks—including one from the president of our neighborhood association. It means a lot to us that the entire neighborhood is so supportive of us.
The foundation for the new building is now complete, and the slab is scheduled to be poured this week. We’re naturally very pleased with the progress. We’re confident that construction can be completed before the end of this year.

In early September, we celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony for our kitchen building. Here, Marco is giving a short speech. 

More than half of the last trimester has now passed, and we’ve begun preparations for the graduation ceremony. We’re pleased to report that we’ve gained another student. So we now have a total of 14 students.

Outlook:

In the coming weeks, the focus will naturally be on the construction work. Since heavier rainfall is expected soon, the construction company is trying to make progress as quickly as possible. We are also co-hosting an intercultural exchange program. Ten young people from Germany are coming to Kenya for two weeks and will be spending a week with us in early November. Preparations for this are underway, and we’re really looking forward to it.
Another important matter is obtaining Marco’s work permit. Although we’ve made some progress on this front, we can’t yet report a real breakthrough. So we remain grateful for your prayers in this regard.
