“Center of Hope”

Kenya is a very beautiful country with very many young people. These people have a lot of potential, but seem to have a small perspective. For this reason we have made it our task to help young people in Kenya discover their gifts, shape their personality, strengthen their belief and elaborate a perspective together.

“Tumaini” means “Hope”. We grounded Tumaini ministries because we have hope for the young generation in Kenya and want to pass this hope on to them. We have experienced that God is bigger than any hopelessness.

To make this dream possible, we bought a plot of 16,000m² near Nairobi. We will gradually build a “Center of Hope” on this plot of land. Step by step, a “Center of Hope” is taking shape there—a place where children, young people, and families can find support, education, and a sense of community.

An important milestone has already been reached:

A daycare center and a school have been built on the property, where children from the surrounding area can already learn, play, and grow. For many families, it is a great help that their children can receive education and care close to home.

But the need remains great. Many more children are still waiting for a spot. That is why we now want to build another school building to give even more children access to education and provide them with real prospects for their future.

In the long term, we envision this place becoming a christian family center. In addition to providing education for children, we also want to strengthen families, foster community, and accompany people in their faith. Our hope is that this place will become a center that gives hope, encourages people, and brings about positive change throughout the entire region.

Our heartfelt desire is for children and young people to recognize their worth, discover the gifts God has given them, and learn to shape their lives and their surroundings in a positive way.

Even when we purchased the land and built the first structures, many people helped with donations both large and small. This support made it possible for us to take those first steps.

We are convinced that together, we can achieve so much more.
