Newsletter June 26

Hello dear friends!

I (Marco) am currently on the train, heading back from my last appointment and meeting during our current visit to Germany, where I had the opportunity to present our work and vision.
Early next week, we’ll be flying back to Kenya. We’re really looking forward to seeing the people there again—and especially the school and “our children.”
In this context, we’re delighted to report that we now have 12 students. So we’ve had one more enrollment since the last newsletter. Over the past month, our students also received their school uniforms. These are mandatory in Kenya. We worked with a local seamstress on this, and we think the result is truly impressive.

Our kids in their new school uniforms. What do you think of them?

The fact that everything at our daycare center/school runs so smoothly even when we’re not there speaks volumes about our team and, of course, makes us very happy.

Outlook:
As mentioned above, we’ll be flying back to Kenya early next week. While there, we’ll meet with our architect and project manager very soon to discuss the next steps. Unfortunately—at least as of today—we haven’t reached our goal of raising 15,000 euros through a campaign for the construction of the kitchen building. We’re currently still short by just under 4,000 euros. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us here.
Even though we haven’t quite reached our goal here, we will still try to prepare for the construction of the kitchen building as quickly as possible so that it can be completed by the end of the year.

Thank you:
As always, we’d like to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports us and our work through prayers, donations, or practical help. It is only because of you that our work in Kenya is possible.
Would you also like to support us and our work, or do you have any questions, suggestions, or similar inquiries? Please feel free to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!

Yours truly

Marco, Joy and Luana
