Newsletter March 26
Hello dear friends!
The past few weeks have been very eventful. One of the highlights for us was a visit from a team from our home church in Germany. Together, we built a playhouse shaped like a bus, set up a sports field with goals, and decorated the rooms at our facility with wonderful pictures. Our children are still absolutely thrilled—and so are we, of course.
In March, we had visitors from our home church.
Yesterday was the last day of school for the first trimester. We are very grateful that everything went well and that our students performed well on their progress assessments.
As mentioned in the last newsletter, we are permitted to build a school under certain conditions. The most significant of these conditions is that, for fire safety reasons, the kitchen and dining hall must be housed in a separate building. We have until early 2027 to meet this requirement. We have therefore had our architect design a building to meet these specifications. This building will cost €42,000 and is large enough to serve the entire project, including the planned school.
The good news is that we already have most of the money needed. We are only €15,000 short of being able to carry out the construction. That is why we now want to raise 300 donations of €50 each through a campaign. The €50 amount is just a guideline. We’re just as happy if someone gives us €10. If you feel moved to give us more, we’re naturally delighted about that as well. We’re confident that we’ll reach this goal with your help. Thank you so much for your support! If you have any questions about the campaign or the construction itself, please feel free to reach out to us. As always, you can find regular updates on our progress on social media and our WhatsApp channel.
Outlook:
At the end of April, we’ll be flying to Germany, and we’re really looking forward to it. Preparations are already underway. You’ll find more details about this—including where we’ll be and when—in our next newsletter.
Thank You:
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supports us and our work through donations, prayers, or practical help. It is only because of you that our work here in Kenya is possible.
