Newsletter December 25
Hello dear friends!
The year is drawing to a close and we have had an exciting few weeks. The construction of the daycare center is almost complete, and we have hired a head teacher and another teacher. We will be conducting further interviews for other positions. We have also received the first registrations for our facility. Please pray that more will follow.
The construction is almost complete, and the children can start coming in January.
One major change is that we have decided to open a first grade class starting in January. The reason for this is that parents have increasingly approached us with this request, and that the next step for us is to build a school anyway. Since we currently have the space for this, we spoke with the relevant authorities and got the green light. As it is important to us to respond to the needs of the people here, we decided to take this step.
Outlook:
Before things really get going in the second week of January, we still have a lot to do: we will be conducting further interviews and the rooms in our facility still need to be furnished. However, most of the items required for this have already been ordered.
In addition, we want to start distributing food packages to families in need in January. Donations for this purpose are still welcome. Each package costs 15 euros. As explained in more detail in the last newsletter, this is a very valuable support for families, especially at this time of year.
Thank you:
In the last newsletter of the year, we would like to take this opportunity to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supports us and our work through donations, prayers, or practical assistance. It is only through you that our work here in Kenya is possible. And everything that lies ahead of us in the coming year will only be possible with your support. Thank you very much!
Would you also like to support us and our work, or do you have any questions, suggestions, or similar? Please feel free to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you!
Finally, we wish you all a blessed Christmas and a happy New Year!
Yours truly
